Ford Motor Co. (NYSE: F) Sees Boost in Mustang, Taurus and F-Series Sales

Ford Motor Co. (NYSE: F) saw a boost in the number of F-series trucks, as well as Taurus and Mustang cars during the month of June.

Overall, Ford Motor Co. (NYSE: F) saw a 15% increase during the month of June but dropped 13% from May as the broader automotive industry lost some its momentum.

The Detroit-based automotive company was helped by a 58% increase in sales of its F-Series trucks and by the 2011 Mustang. Ford also saw an increase in sales to car buyers and an increase in fleet sales. The F-Series truck was the top seller with 46,502 pickup trucks sold during the months and sales of the Ford Taurus were up 191% to 6,607.
