A Verizon (VZW) wireless executive confirmed that his company would not be added Apple’s (NASDAQ: AAPL) iPhone or iPad to its network in the immediate future.
There has been a lot of speculation about when Verizon and Apple will pair up, however, Verizon Spokesman John Johnson confirmed that his company won’t be supporting Apple’s line of mobile devices in the United States any time soon at the Wall Street Journal’s All Things Digital conference.
Johnson noted that Verizon is currently focusing its efforts on Android devices and will be launching several new models this year. Johnson also noted Verizon’s soon-to-be-launched 4-G LTE network to 25-30 U.S. markets this year.
