Citibank (NYSE: C) has expanded its Indonesian operations by opening a new branch in Tanah Abang. With the latest expansion, Citibank will now have 21 branches, 71 loan centers and 105 ATM machines in throughout six major cities in the country, including Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung, Medan, Semarang, and Denpasar.
According to a statement from the New York-based bank, the new branch opening its part of Citibank’s commitment to open five new branch offices in Jakarta in 2010.
Shariq Mukhtar, Citi’s country officer for Indonesia, said: “Customers in Indonesia want to grow their wealth, protect their family, and achieve their personal goals all at the same time.
