Prosper Marketplace has recently had a number of employees on its management team depart the company, and now it appears that Prosper has lost its chief marketing officer, Catherine Muriel.
A press release released by Support.com stated that Catherine Muriel has joined their company as its new “general manager of direct business.” Support.com advertises itself as a provider of online technology services. The company’s press release provided a write-up of Muriel’s employment history and indicated that she was most recently Prosper Marketplace’s chief-marketing officer.
The circumstances of Muriel’s departure are unknown, but there have been a number of high-profile members of the company’s management team that have left the company in the last couple of years, including:
- John Witchel, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer
- Thomas Pigoski, VP Information Security & Risk Management/CISO
- Karen Appleton, VP Business Development
- Rob Klapper, Chief Marketing Officer
- Shira Levine, Marketing Director
Before Muriel’s departure, the most recent executive to depart with the company was Ed Giedgowd, who was the company’s general counsel. Giedgowd left Prosper Marketplace in September of 2009 and was replaced by Sachin Adarkar.
